5-Minute Korean Sausage Stir Fry, Easy Banchan

Let’s make the easiest Korean side dish in just 5 minutesKorean sausage stir fry!
This is one of the quickest and simplest Banchan (Korean side dishes) you can make in Korea. It’s also a favorite among Korean kids.

Equipment

  • 1 Cutting board & knife
  • 1 Frying pan
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g sausage
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1/4 bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (The substitute ingredients are mentioned above.)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions
 

  • If you're using small cocktail sausages, use them as they are. If using long sausages, cut them into about 3cm (1 inch) pieces to match the size of cocktail sausages.
  • Make shallow cuts on the sausages to help them bloom while cooking.
  • Heat a little oil in a pan and stir-fry the sausages until the cuts open up and they start to brown.
  • Add sliced onion and bell pepper, and stir-fry until slightly softened.
  • Add 2 tbsp of ketchup and 1 tbsp of oyster sauce.
  • Stir well to coat everything evenly.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve hot!
