Mayak Toast: A sweet, savory Korean toast you’ve probably never heard of—made with just an egg and mayo in 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 slice sandwich bread
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch dried parsley (optional for garnish)

  1. Spread mayonnaise evenly over the surface of the bread.

  2. Sprinkle sugar evenly on top.

  3. Pipe or spread a border of mayonnaise around the edges of the bread to create a “wall” for the egg.

  4. Crack 1 egg into the center of the bread.
  5. Add a pinch of salt and sprinkle parsley on top.

  6. Air Fryer: Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 7–10 minutes.
    Microwave: Cook for about 2 minutes. (If using a microwave, make sure to poke the egg yolk with a fork before cooking to prevent it from bursting.)
  7. Garnish with extra parsley.
