Mayak Toast : Easy Korean Egg Toast

Mayak Toast: A sweet, savory Korean toast you’ve probably never heard of—made with just an egg and mayo in 10 minutes!

Equipment

  • 1 Knife (for spreading)
  • 1 air fryer or microwave (oven works as well)
  • 1 Fork (if using microwave, to poke yolk)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 slice sandwich bread
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch dried parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Spread mayonnaise evenly over the surface of the bread.

  • Sprinkle sugar evenly on top.

  • Pipe or spread a border of mayonnaise around the edges of the bread to create a “wall” for the egg.

  • Crack 1 egg into the center of the bread.
  • Add a pinch of salt and sprinkle parsley on top.

  • Air Fryer: Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 7–10 minutes.
    Microwave: Cook for about 2 minutes. (If using a microwave, make sure to poke the egg yolk with a fork before cooking to prevent it from bursting.)
  • Garnish with extra parsley.
