Quick 10minute microwave sweet potato with Korean honey butter and cheese. Sweet and buttery, the best cozy Korean snack at home!

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet potato (medium sized)
  • 15 g unsalted butter (about 1 tbsp)
  • 2 tbsp mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 pinch dried parsley (optional, or cinnamon powder is good too)

  1. Scrub the sweet potato thoroughly under running water.

  2. Place the sweet potato in a microwave-safe dish. Cover it with a lid or plastic wrap (poke a few holes for steam). Microwave for 5–7 minutes
    *Alternative: Bake or air fry at 200°C (390°F) for 30–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until soft.

  3. Once cooked, slice the sweet potato in half lengthwise. Add butter, drizzle with honey,

  4. and top with mozzarella cheese.

  5. Microwave again for 1 minute, until the cheese melts.
    * Alternative: Bake or air fry at 180°C (355°F) for 5–10 minutes.

  6. Sprinkle dried or fresh parsley, or for a more traditional touch, dust with cinnamon powder as in the original recipe.
